2026 SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

The West Central Florida Collective has been serving vulnerable children in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas for 10 years and we want to honor the team and their efforts by giving them a year of rest, so the format for Christmas for Fosters in West Central Florida will be a modified, online format for 2026 ONLY.

We will not have a traditional pick up event and the gifts will be mailed directly to your home for 2026 ONLY.

We are excited to let you know that we will be hosting a series of Christmas for Fosters at the Movies across Tampa Bay! We will send out text messages about that soon!

All children submitted after October 30, 2026, will be placed on a waitlist and are not guaranteed to be sponsored.

2026 program application period closes on November 10, 2026

Anyone who is currently in the child welfare system as a foster child can apply to get sponsored. This includes relative and non-relative foster care placements. Permanent guardianship is not included at this time.

Can children adopted from foster care apply to get sponsored?
At this time, we are not sponsoring children that have been adopted from foster care.

What can we expect our foster child to receive from this?
We do our absolute best to ensure that every kid their main wishlist item as well as supporting items and stocking stuffers.

Are there limits to what my foster child can ask for?
We allow your foster child to ask for one top wish list items with a $100 limit and additional smaller items. We no longer allow requests for the following items: gaming systems, trampolines or other heavy outdoor equipment, theme park tickets or memberships, gift cards, nugget couches, etc.

If there is no pick up event, how will we receive our gifts?
They will be mailed directly to your home from Amazon. Each box will arrive with GIVE JOY COLLECTIVE - “Your Child’s First Name”.

How will we verify custody letters and driver’s licenses?
On the sign up form, you will be asked to upload copies of your custody letters, driver’s license as well as a photo of the child. The photo must only show the child (no one else in it), their eyes must be covered with heart, star or sunglasses emojis.

Why do we have to upload a photo of the child?
Since our sponsors will not be shopping in person for your child, we want them to feel as connected to your child as possible when they click “add to cart”. This will help establish that connection and humanize your kiddo from being a digital link to a wishlist to a real kid in their community who needs to experience the magic of Christmas morning!
